Best London Street Markets



I have listed some of the very Best London Street Markets with the nearest local connections to the underground tube stations for your convenience.

These markets are the places where Londoners bring their kids to hang out on a sunny Saturday, and stop for lunch and people watch, it's a great pas-time.

These are perfect spots for visitors to catch a glimpse of London's everyday community life in a fast-changing city that's still holding on tight to its history. Be sure to visit a Pub for a pint and stay for lunch.

Antiques, books and bric-a-brac. Wed 7-2, Sun 8-4.

Columbia Road @Liverpool Street Station.
Bustling Sunday market selling plants, flowers and things for the garden. Sunday 8-2.

Brick Lane @Liverpool Street Station.
Hundreds of stallholders and individuals selling everything and anything Sunday 8-3

Spitalfields @Liverpool Street Station.
Commercial Street Thurs: Antiques, vintage clothes Fri: Art and fashion Sunday: General market Thurs, Fri 11-3.30, Sun 10-3

UpMarket @Liverpool Street Station.
Hanbury Street Covered market. Clothes, fashion accessories, music and crafts. Sunday 10-5

Petticoat Lane @Liverpool Street Station.
Middlesex Street Hundreds of stalls selling cut-price clothing, Asian fabrics and leatherwear. Mon to Fri 10-3, Sun 9-3

Bermondsey Market @London Bridge Station.
Bermondsey Square Early-start covered market with antiques and bric-a-brac, particularly silverware and decorative items. Friday 6-2.

Borough Market @London Bridge Station.
Borough High Street Gourmet food market under the railway. Thurs 11-5, Fri 12-6, Sat 9-4.

Brixton Market @Brixton Station.
Brixton Road Afro-Caribbean specialists. Exotic foods and spices and cut-price music and clothes. Mon to Sat 8-6 (Wed 10-3) Friday 8-7.

Covent Garden @Covent Garden Station.
In the Market Hall. Antiques on Monday, arts and crafts for the rest of the week. The nearby Jubilee Market has souvenirs, clothes and knick-knacks. 7 days 10-7

Piccadilly Market @Piccadilly Station.
St. James’s Church, Piccadilly Antiques on Tuesday, art and crafts Wed to Sat.

Antiquarius @Sloane Square Staion.
131-141 King’s Road Indoor market with over 60 antique dealers. Mon to Sat 10-6.

Gray’s Antique Market @Bond Street Station.
Davies Street Indoor market with many specialist antique dealers. Mon to Fri 10-6, Thurs 10-8.

Bayswater Road @Lancaster Gate Station.
Mostly paintings with some sculpture and jewellery. Sunday 10-6.

Shepherd’s Bush @Shepherd Bush Station.
Local market with good selection of ethnic foods and clothing. Mon to Sat from 10am

Portobello Road Street Market - London

Portobello Road @Notting Hill Gate Station.
World-famous market selling antiques, jewellery, second-hand clothes and bric-a-brac. Sat 8-6.30, part open Mon-Fri, Thursday 8-1

Church Street Market @Edgware Road Station.
Fruit and veg, clothes, household and bric-a-brac, plus Alfie’s antiques market. Mon to Sat 8-5.
